September 17 last year, Albay was so lucky  to be chosen by Canon to held their annual PhotoMarathon. Since 2008, the year the event started, this was their first time to have South Luzon leg.

Considering the majestic view of the Mayon Volcano, organizers chose Albay for they believed there are a lot more of wonderful views and things that can be photographed.

The PhotoMarathon took place in Legazpi City at La Piazza Hotel and Convention Center as their base camp. There were two categories for the event the DSLR and Point & Shoot. On that day also, winners for both categories were proclaimed and received brand new DSLR's and other camera stuffs. Included also on the prize was trip to Manila for Grand Prize winners for they've been representatives of the South Luzon.
