Jungle Beach. More fun in Albay, Philippines (Photo by Ariel Chua) |
Photographer Ariel Chua's exploration of Sto, Domingo, Albay continues with this another beautiful picture of Jungle Beach Resort.
Originally named Libog, it is a former barrio of Ibalon and was established in 1749. The name "Libog" appears to be a corruption of Bicol term "libot" meaning roundabout. It is also the birthplace of Sarung Banggi, a classical bicol love song composed by an illustrious son of Libog, Potenciano Gregorio in 1910.
